Privacy Policy

TokenCost at costpertoken.xyz is a static LLM token cost calculator. You type token counts in your browser; estimates are computed locally from a public rate file. This page explains what we do and do not collect.

What we do not collect

We do not ask you to create an account. We do not collect names, emails, payment details, or API keys. Calculator inputs (tokens, requests per day, selected models) stay in your browser and, if you copy a share link, in the URL you choose to send. We do not store those values on a TokenCost server. There is no user database.

What we may collect

Like most public websites, the host and CDN (Cloudflare) may record standard request logs: IP address, user agent, referrer, path, and timestamps. Those logs exist to operate, secure, and debug the site. We do not use them to build a marketing profile of calculator users.

We may later enable advertising (for example Google AdSense) or privacy-respecting analytics (for example Plausible or GA4). If we do, those vendors will process data under their own policies. Until then, optional analytics environment variables may be unset and no first-party analytics script runs.

Cookies

TokenCost itself does not set an account or session cookie. The calculator state lives in the page and in optional query parameters. Cloudflare or a future ads/analytics vendor may set strictly necessary or measurement cookies. You can block non-essential cookies in your browser; the calculator still works.

Third parties

The site is served through Cloudflare. Fonts and static assets are part of the build. We are not affiliated with OpenAI, Anthropic, Google, Mistral, Amazon, Meta, xAI, Moonshot, MiniMax, Z.ai, DeepSeek, Alibaba, Tencent, Xiaomi, or any other model provider named in the table. Linking to their pricing docs does not share your calculator inputs with them.
